For years, Craigslist has been an amazing and convenient way to buy cool products, trade belongings or event hire services. But always be aware of what you’re getting. We love Craigslist and even use it as an advertising tool; however, when hiring someone to bartend your wedding or house party, you should carefully select the best candidate.
1) Cheap Rates: Don’t be fooled by the low rates. Remember the great ole’ adage, “you get what you pay for”. The lower the rate, the less you get and the least likely they are bonded or insured. You want to ensure that the person you hire is certified by TABC and also carries general liability insurance.
2) Proper Training: Just because someone is TABC certified does not mean that they actually know how to bartend. The TABC class is a 2 hour class that teaches the laws of bartending but does not spend 10 seconds on how to pour a good drink. Hire a bartender from a reputable company who only employs properly trained bartenders
3) No Show: Hiring a random person from Craigslist may put you in a situation where no one shows up. We all know that things happen at the last minute so be sure to contract a company with a large staff so that there is always a back up. There’s nothing worse than having a ton of drinks with no one to serve them.
Hire a company you can trust! Relax, enjoy your event let JC Bartending, Inc. bring the party to you.
